PayCert plays a role of Certification Authority STCA (Secure Transactions Certification Authority).
STCA involves the management of CA and certificates performed by Groupement Cartes Bancaires :
- for terminals
- for acceptance servers and acquiring systems.
The goal of this service is to simplify the authentication of Payment terminals, through a unique root for the entire park and to enable a mutual authentification based on existing standards (x509 v3, TLS v1.2, SHA-2,…).
